Claudia Medina is a Los Angeles native and was the first in her family to attend college. Ms. Medina attended Occidental College where she earned a B.A. in Sociology. During undergraduate school, Ms. Medina began her involvement in community based tenant rights organizations. After her undergraduate studies, Ms. Medina was a fellow in the Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs and then attended UC Berkeley, School of Law. During law school, Ms. Medina was invovled in wage justice clinics, served as External Affairs Vice President for the graduate student body and interned with the East Bay Community Law Center. Ms. Medina also interned with Eviction Defense Network in Los Angeles during both summers of law school. Once Ms. Medina graduated in 2006, she began working for Eviction Defense Network where she litigated hundreds of cases in defense of low-income tenants that are being evicted from their homes.
