Elizabeth Macias appointed by Governor Brown

LLBA congratulates our board member Elizabeth Macias whom Governor Brown appointed to a seat on the Orange County Superior Court bench.

Macias, 41, of Orange, has served as deputy federal public defender at the Office of the Federal Public Defender for the Central District of California since 1999. Macias earned a Juris Doctorate degree from California Western School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Fullerton.

She fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge David C. Velasquez. The Honorable Elizabeth Macias begins her assignment on Tuesday, January 1.
